The PeacockThe beautifully coiffed head, the doe-eyes, the sensuous mouth.
Light and shadowThe man is in the light while the woman is in the shadows. That's an apt metaphor for the respective status of men vs women in many Indian communities particularly where this picture was shot, in the Northern Indian state of Rajasthan. I must add though that the man in the picture is a lovely man, caretaker of #Chandelaogarh, who invited me to his home in the village.
